DAY 24 A writer is born

Yesterday my girls were talking about what they want to do for a living when they grow up.

L wants to work with fabrics and decorate boxes. I told her this was a good idea because someone has to create and design all the beautiful boxes before people can buy them in the stores. So today she decorated boxes (shoe boxes that is... I think I'm going to need a huge trunk to put all the boxes in.)

A wants to be a writer. She loves rhymes and creates a lot of little poems , she has a little book where she writes them down. Yesterday she wanted to know if a writer can make a good living and today she wanted to start with her own novel. Here is the first pic of a writer to be! She told me she has the whole story already in her head. All I know so far : it's about aliens!

I'm curious if she's going to go on with this... and finish her story, or book, or best-seller! Who knows, this pic could be worth big $ in the future!

  3. Great photo of Anouk! I kept my writings in a book as well and was always scribbling down poems and bits of stories starting at age 8. I made a little money writing columns for newspapers, and I hope to get back to it when my kids are older. I've got a writer/illustrator and designier too! Lily is fantastic with design and Jing draws constantly drawing and writing stories on the computer. Love those creative kids!
