Marleen, these are White currant berries, a member of the genus Ribes (this is Wikipedia talking - not me!). I had to look it up, didn't know the English word for it. We can buy lots of red currant in the summer but I never saw the white one in the stores. They are delicious! I would love to send you some but ... not sure they would look as yummy on arrival... Alaska is so far away!
